From iron ore mining to the production of final steel products. Different steel grades and product requirements may lead to differences in process flow. In response to different steel types and product needs, our factory will adjust steelmaking methods, rolling processes, heat treatment processes, etc. Here are some common variations:
Hot rolling:It is a rolling process performed above the recrystallization temperature of the metal. Specifically, a piece of steel billet undergoes several passes of rolling, trimming, and correction after heating, and finally becomes a steel plate.
Cold rolling:At normal temperature, hot rolled steel coils are used as raw materials, and the oxide scale is removed by pickling and then cold rolling is performed. The finished product is hard rolled coils.
Heat Treatment:
It refers to a metal thermal processing process that uses heating, insulation and cooling to obtain the expected structure and properties of the material in the solid state.
·Normalizing:It is a process of heating metal to a certain temperature (890-950℃), keeping it for a certain period of time, and then cooling it in the air. The purpose of normalizing is to improve the hardness, strength and wear resistance of metal and reduce internal stress.
·Annealing:It is to heat the steel plate to the appropriate temperature, adopt different holding times according to the size and thickness of the steel plate, and then slowly cool it (the cooling rate is the slowest). The purpose of annealing is to eliminate the internal stress generated during metal processing and reduce the hardness of the metal to facilitate subsequent processing and use.
·Quenching:It is a process in which metal is heated to a certain temperature (700-920°C), maintained for a certain period of time, and then rapidly cooled. The purpose of quenching is to increase the hardness and strength of the metal and increase the wear resistance of the metal.
·Tempering:It is a process of heating metal to a certain temperature (650-700℃), maintaining it for a certain period of time, and then slowly cooling it. The purpose of tempering is to eliminate or reduce the internal stress generated during quenching and to make the hardness and strength of the metal moderate for subsequent processing and use.
Cold Drawn:It refers to drawing when the material is at room temperature in order to achieve a certain shape and certain mechanical properties. Compared with thermoforming, cold-drawn products have the advantages of high dimensional accuracy and good surface finish.
Skinning:Using turning, milling, planing and other machining methods to remove the layer of metal with defects on the surface is also called peeling.
When producing alloy steel, it is necessary to use peeling method to eliminate surface defects of steel ingots or billets.
Acid Washing/ Acid Pickling:It refers to the method of using acid solution to remove scale and rust on the surface of steel. This step is usually used before and after cold rolling, hot-dip galvanizing, electroplating and other processes.
Polishing:It refers to a processing method that uses mechanical, chemical or electrochemical effects to reduce the surface roughness of the workpiece to obtain a bright and smooth surface.
Cold Drawing;Cold Stretching:Under normal temperature conditions, the steel bars are forcibly stretched with a tensile stress exceeding the original yield point strength of the steel bars, causing plastic deformation of the steel bars to achieve the purpose of improving the yield point strength of the steel bars and saving steel.

Cause of 304 steel rust phenomenon

Carbon steel pipe preparation method
The raw material of carbon steel tube is round tube billet, round tube embryo to be cut by cutting machine processing billet with growth of about 1 meter, and sent to the furnace by conveyor belt heating. The billet is fed into a furnace and heated to about 1200 degrees Celsius. The fuel is hydrogen or acetylene. The temperature control in the furnace is the key problem. After the round tube billet comes out, it is perforated by the pressure punch. Generally, the most common perforator is the conical roll perforator.
